Eiffel

Eiffel is an advanced object-oriented programming language derived from Simula and Ada. It was created by Bertrand Meyer (Interactive Software Engineering). Eiffel is named after Gustave Eiffel, the engineer who designed the Eiffel Tower. Its goals are to produce quality software based on reliability, extensibility, reusability and portability. There are several compilers both for Windows and Unix available. Check out the numerous sites on Eiffel and these following sites about Java and Eiffel.
