Can I play movies in Java?

You can download JMF at http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/jmf/2.1.1/download.html. To use JMF in your projects, look at the documentation or the other question/answers in this category.

An alternative, to play MPEG1 movies, you can look around at the free available software on the net. For example, http://rnvs.informatik.tu-chemnitz.de/~jan/MPEG/JITVERS/MPEG_Play.html
