How do I determine the OS at runtime?
Use the following code to get information about the operating system:

System.out.println("OS Name: " + System.getProperty("os.name"));
System.out.println("OS Architecture: " + System.getProperty("os.arch"));
System.out.println("OS Version: " + System.getProperty("os.version"));

Output will be something like:

OS Name: Windows NT
OS Architecture: x86
OS Version: 4.0
