Java Web Start

This cool technology allows full-featured Java applications or Applets to be launched with a single click of a mouse in a browser page. Java Web Start applications are cached locally and may even work offline. The security sandbox is more flexible because of the availability of secure APIs that allows an application to load and save files on the local disk under the users control.
