A newsgroup is part of the usenet news system. Usenet news is a collection of thousands of different discussion groups on a huge variety of topics. Several of them discuss Java topics. Participants write messages which can then be read by any person who has access to the usenet news system. In order to have access, your newsclient (ie. Outlook Express) needs to connect to a newsserver on port 119. Check with your provider to find out about their newsserver or search the net for some free ones.
