Java Books

The best tip I can give you is to avoid picking up one of those 'Learn Java in a Week While Brushing Your Teeth' books [counts for all books of this sort]. If you do, you'll be disillusioned and find they lack completeness and are full of typos. With such a title, the only assumption you can make is that those authors have read 'How to Make Money Fast'. There are a couple resources with free books on the net. Check them out, but beware that most of them cover JDK 1.1.
