What is the best Java book for beginners?
Check out http://xianyun.tripod.com/booksIndex.html
Theres links to a load of online books. Java is a really easy language to pick up, especially if you've done any programming in other languages before. You're best not wasting your money on the beginner books and just getting to grips with it using the javasoft and other tutorials you can find online. When you've got your head round the basics and want to have a got at something specific in more depth I'd reccomend any of the O'Reilly java books (www.oreilly.com).
